Living Wage Employer

MacArthur Green is accredited as a Living Wage employer. The real Living Wage rate is announced every November and the new rate reflects the sharply rising fuel and rent costs. The real Living Wage is significantly higher than the Government minimum wage for people over 23 years old which is the ‘National Living Wage’ (NLW). The real Living Wage is independently calculated based on living costs and is paid by employers voluntarily.

The Disability Confident campaign works with employers to remove barriers, increase understanding and ensure that disabled people have the opportunities to fulfil their potential. There are 7.6 million working age people who have a disability or health condition and being a Disability Confident Committed employer will help us recruit and retain great people. In addition to the five commitments in the scheme, we can offer disabled people work experience – a fixed period of time in the business so that they can learn about the company and the working environment here.
